Funding
- Our funding comes from three main sources:
EU Grants – Our initiative aligns with European funding programs that support participatory events, ensuring financial sustainability based on the number of activities and people involved.
Nonprofit Status – As a recognized nonprofit, we adhere to transparency standards and receive support from institutions and foundations that share our mission.
Private Funding – We collaborate with ethical and mission-aligned partners who support citizen-driven legislative initiatives without compromising our independence.

Our History:
2021
Wikizens is created, the signature collection platform for the Extraordinary Regularization ILP.
2022
Wikizens registers 14,000 individuals and 900 organizations with the goal of collecting the 500,000 required signatures.
2023
The Extraordinary Regularization ILP collects over 700,000 signatures in 12 months, largely thanks to Wikizens' signature registration and tracking system.
2024
The ILP is approved by an absolute majority in the Spanish Congress, becoming the first ILP in history to be voted on by both major parties
2024
Wikizens is rebranded as Boreal, aiming to become a European platform that supports any ECI.
2025
Boreal formalizes the initiative.
